Changed my lighting to daylight bulbs throughout an open floor plan and changed trim from BM white dove to SW Alabaster then painted entry, kitchen, dining room and hallway in BM Revere Pewter lrv 55 (mixed at BM) thinking it would hold truer to a green-gray. Alabaster has a drop of yellow in it which makes it a beautiful complement to your oak trim and the other colors/finishes in your space. If Eider White looks too gray check out Shoji White SW 7042 or Aesthetic White SW 7035. Aesthetic White DOES have some warmth, but its nicely subdued by a wink o gray. Something else? I am trying to choose an exterior color. If you want Shoji White to look as white as possible, use it on everything, including the trim, ceilings, and doors. This warm neutral is great for any place where you want to add a hint of barely-there color. It would be a warm grey with a neutral grey/offwhite. Going for modern rustic ish. In our farmhouse renovation, I chose this paint color for the entire main level. Do you have a preference at all for what color family you want the walls to be? This will make Shoji White look like a soft tan or beige color though, and not cream or white. Hope this helps! Would Alabaster be a good trim and cabinet choice? Hi Barb! Or would White Duck look better? It has a bit of warmth to it, because it has some yellow undertones. It is always best to look at color in your lighting. I was considering SW White Duck or SW Aesthetic White. SW creamy left me curious. This white duck sample was very disappointing after all the reviews and example pics I've seen. Really enjoy your insights.
Shoji White by Sherwin Williams Paint Color Review I have Acacia Wood floors in my kitchen, dining and living room and golden oak cabinets in the kitchen. The last designer I used (NOT Kylie) insisted that Id love Creamy on my interior doors and trim despite me not feelin it. Whether its trim or the entire wall, this inviting shade adds a sense of ease. Nuance, Moderne White, Ethereal White, Frosty White, etc.). It has an LRV of 70, putting it on the very LOW/dark end of the off-white range, dipping more into the light depth colours. Hi Debra! Hello I am painting my kitchen clary sage. ( Slight brown glazing on inset edges of doors) Trying to find a white paint that will work with them and earth-tones in countertop Do you think white dove or alabaster would work. Pairing a crisp, clean white like Extra White SW 7006 with Pearly White SW 7009 will allow both your trim and walls to pop. Well, these two colors are VERY similar and versatile, but they aren't the same by any means (which is why choosing colors can be so hard). Wed like to get a better sense of your space before making a recommendation. Natural Choice could be the right choice if Shoji White is looking a little peach in your space. I do not want a stark white as my ledge stone is mostly soft grays and tans/Users/sook/Library/Messages/Attachments/c8/08/ECFD3672-9B75-4B94-B32F-A364E3FCEB69/exterior with iron ore sw.jpeg. In addition to having cream, gray, and beige tones in it, Shoji White also has the tiniest bit of a green undertone. would iit work to paint over this with another white? Shoji White paint is a great color for walls. Shoji White is a great paint color because it works well with other paint colors. I painted samples of Benjamin Moores White Dove and Simply White. I am having a hard time deciding the complimentary white for the walls. In this range, youll find off-whites that are light and bright but will still show some contrast with standard white trim. Creamy is a tricky one on trim/cabinets as it doesnt partner up quite as easily with wall colour options (because of the creamy/yellow in it), its not quite as versatile as the likes of BM White Dove, SW Alabaster and BM Cloud White.
